Overview

A single component universal flooring adhesive that has been formulated for use with bamboo, parquet block, engineered wood plank as well as pre-finished and unfinished solid wood flooring. Thanks to the special hybrid technology the adhesive is non-toxic, eco-friendly and has negligible VOC content. It offers a great early strength build and cures with a strong but flexible bond.

Preparation

Before the application, be sure that the surface is dry, clean, smooth, and free from dust.

• Substrate must be smooth, level and dry. Subfloors must be level to within 5mm on a 3m span.
• Level the subfloor using a suitable leveling compound and all to fully cure before instaion.
• Adhesive and flooring must be acclimatised in an enclosed building during and during cooler months must have central heating running at least 72 hours before, during, and after installation.

Application

We recommend performing a test with the substrate to be used to ensure adhesion. Ensure the product is at a minimum temperature of 15°C prior to application.

Trowl application

• Open the pail and cut into the aluminum foil bag, do not dilute the adhesive.
• Apply the adhesive with the recommended trowel, working time is around 30 minutes at 23°C.
• Flat V notch trowel is recommended for all solid, engineered, pre-finished or unfinished wood and bamboo and all thickness.
• Square notch trowel is recommended for dry-back wood parquet.
• The adhesive must have a minimum transfer of 80% to the wood flooring to guarantee installation.

Applicator installation

• Install using the Osmo applicator gun.
• Working time is approximately 45-60 minutes depending on conditions.
• Lay flooring as per manufacturer's instructions, and ensure to secure the initial few rows to limit movement. Rachet straps can be used.
• Osmo recommend to roll the floor with a 45-70kg roller immediately after installation to ensure maximum transfer.

Drying

• When drying allow adequate air humidity to ensure the adhesive thoroughly cures.
• Once it has hardened, it can be cleaned mechanically.
• Allow a minimum of 72 hours before sanding.
• Ensure underfloor heating is switched off 24 hours before, during, and after installation, gradually building the temperature back up.

Be sure to follow the flooring manufacturer's instructions for layout, design, and any special precautions. Follow the instructions regarding the adhesive application on the manufacturer's packaging.
